Soulfilled Sweetness

Reviewed by Katherine, 2009-03-13

Meg & Dia make up a strong chick band without all the extra "sex crap" that is so often associated with female rockers these days. There is spice and honesty in their vocals without being overbearing and offensive. Their track "Monster" was heartbreaking as an acoustic, but as a rock ballad it kicks [major behind]. You can rock out to Meg and Dia, or you can tune in to withdraw from your own world and get lulled by their sweet lyrics and beautiful vocals.
They have the sound of a punk band at times, but others they are just like a stage act of guitars and drums. Soulful and very melodic. I catch myself humming their songs day after day. Sometimes it gets so stuck in my head that I think I'm going crazy.
Beautiful, unique, melodic, sweet, intellegent... very very good.

Meg and Dia are great! Their songs are original and they are great! My favorite tracks are Monster, Nineteen stars and Masterpiece. I love how they get their inspirations from books as well. They're great. I hope they do well!

These girls no how to rock

I was introduced to these girls when I heard the songs Roses on a TV Channel that was on. I realized that they were on the list for 2007 warped tour but did not take the time to go see the performance. However my liking for this turned when I had heard the song Monster, after that I had gone to listen to 30 second previews of the album. That was it I had fallen in love with the album.

I bought the album and later went to go see them when they were on tour with Angels & Airwaves. I am not to fond of very many girl singers, however Dia's voice is so powerful, beautiful and Flawless that it is not possible to improve it (but she still does). Meg is one of the best Rhythm Guitarists out there. Nick also makes an awesome Drummer.

When you put this CD in it is almost as if the first song on the Record Monster puts you in a trance the soft but sweet melody of the songs roses continues to keep you listening, The entire album is simply amazing. what is awesome about how it is written is you can almost relate to every song. I recommend this album to anybody who likes groups like, Paramore, Boys Like Girls and The Rocket Summer. When they Release the 2008 follow up it will definately be amazing I am looking foward to see what these women and there band can do in the future.

This Cd is sooo good. I adore Meg and Dia!!

The lyrics are great and the music is fantastic. After I got this CD, I listened to nothing else for weeks, it is so fabulous. I would recommend this to anyone. It's amazing!

I absolutely love Meg and Dia. I saw them at the concert with Angels and Airwaves and fell in love with them. They are fabulous. I kept listening to their songs over and over on myspace, so I had to have the CD. Just got it and it is awesome. I could listen to nineteen stars and roses all day long, I swear I could. They are good in person, too. Very cute and very passionate. I just love this CD.
